How HIFU Works
During treatment ultrasound is micro-focused below the skin surface which in turn causes cellular friction and precise pinpoint heating. Like a magnifying glass, the sunlights raise is generated at a focal point leaving the skin’s surface and surrounding tissue unaffected. At the focal point the tissue heats up to approximately 65 degrees Celsius, causing immediate collagen contraction and denaturation
Why HIFU
HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) treatment is often chosen for several compelling reasons. Firstly, it’s non-invasive, which means no incisions or surgery are required, resulting in minimal downtime and a reduced risk of complications. HIFU is known for its effectiveness in skin tightening, lifting, and rejuvenation, making it an attractive option for those seeking a more youthful appearance without surgery. Additionally, it stimulates collagen production, providing long-lasting results. HIFU treatments are versatile and can target various areas of the face and body, making it a popular choice for individuals looking for personalized cosmetic improvements. Overall, HIFU offers a safe, effective, and convenient alternative to traditional surgical procedures.
Treatment Time
The time will depend on the treatment area.
A face and neck procedure typically tales 60-90 minutes, while décolletage may take approximately 30 min. Most clients may only need one treatment per year, depending on the degree of the skin laxity, biological response to ultrasound energy and the individual’s collagen- building process. Skin collagen, firmness and elasticity continue to deteriorate. Maintenance treatments can help keep pace with the body’s natural ageing process.

Is there any down time? One of the significant advantages of HIFU treatment is no downtime. Unlike surgical procedures, HIFU is non-invasive, which means there are no incisions or wounds to recover from. You can resume your daily activities immediately after the treatment. Clients can enjoy the benefits of firmer, more youthful-looking skin without the extended recovery time associated with traditional surgeries, making HIFU a popular choice for those with busy lifestyles.

How long until I see results? While certain clients may notice immediate effects, the full results of the lifting and toning will gradually unfold over the next 2-3 months and continue to improve over the subsequent six months. Throughout this period, old collagen is gradually replaced by new collagen and muscles are firming.

Is HIFU painful?HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) treatment is typically not considered painful. Most individuals experience minimal discomfort during the procedure. You may feel some tingling, warmth, or a slight prickling sensation as the ultrasound energy is delivered to the targeted areas. However, this discomfort is generally mild and well-tolerated by most patients. The sensation experienced during HIFU treatment can vary from person to person, and it may depend on the specific area being treated and individual pain tolerance. Additionally, the mild discomfort experienced during the treatment is temporary and usually subsides once the procedure is complete.

Are there side effects?HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) treatment is generally considered safe, and most individuals experience minimal side effects. However, like any medical procedure, there can be potential side effects, although they are typically mild and temporary. Common side effects of HIFU treatment may include: Temporary Redness: Some redness or flushing of the treated area may occur, but it usually subsides within a few hours. Mild Swelling: Swelling is possible, particularly in the facial areas, but it is generally short-lived and resolves within a day or two. Tingling or Tenderness: You may experience mild tingling or tenderness in the treated area, which is usually temporary and mild. Bruising: In some cases, minor bruising may occur, but it is rare and typically goes away within a short period.

How many treatments will I need? The number of HIFU (High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound) treatments required to see noticeable results can vary from person to person. It depends on several factors, including the individual's skin condition, the area being treated, and their specific goals. HIFU is an amazing technology that delivers dramatic results in as little as one to three sessions. Results take at least three months to manifest. It is recommended to have at least 4 week break in between HIFU sessions. Results will last 1 to 3 years without maintenance.
